FAQs

Is Kinectiv Sport + Health accessible?

Yes! There is an elevator to bring you up to the second floor. The doors leading into the building are automatic. Our front door to the clinic is not automatic, but if you require assistance, please knock on the window and one of our team members will open the door for you.

What is the cancellation policy?

We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any changes to or cancellations of your scheduled appointments. For all pessary fitting appointments, we request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Any appointments missed, cancelled, or rescheduled within this window will result in a fee equivalent to the full cost of the visit.

Why do I need to put my credit card on file?

We store your credit card information securely to streamline your experience with us. This ensures that billing for treatments, products, or any incurred fees is handled smoothly and conveniently. Your credit card is only charged in cases where there is an outstanding balance on your account or in adherence to our cancellation policy. Rest assured, your information is kept safe on a trusted, secure platform.

How do I know which modality I should book?

If you're unsure which modality to book, please reach out to our front desk team for guidance based on your unique situation. Sometimes, multiple modalities may benefit you, and in these cases, we recommend scheduling a phone consultation with one of our providers for further direction.

What should I expect in my appointment?

During your visit, your practitioner will assess you and, with your consent, provide treatment. They may discuss or suggest treatment methods they believe will benefit you. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Depending on the service, your provider may also offer home care advice, such as exercises or stretches.

Are there any forms I need to complete for my appointment?

If you're new to the clinic, we will require an initial intake form and possibly others relevant to your visit. These are typically emailed to you in advance, but there may be some forms to complete in person. If it’s been a while since your last visit or you're seeing a different practitioner, we may need updated forms.

What do I need to bring with me?

Here are some common items you may want to bring, depending on your situation:

  • Comfortable clothing
  • Medical reports (e.g., medical imaging report, post-op report, etc.)
  • Water bottle (we have a water station if needed)
  • Snack (if you’ll be here for multiple visits)

What should I wear?

Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. For example, if you're having your knee treated during a physiotherapy session, wearing shorts may be helpful. We have a few pairs of shorts available if you forget.

Is there a place where I can get changed?

Yes, you are welcome to use one of our washrooms to change.

Is it okay if I bring my little ones with me?

We understand that childcare can be a challenge, so we welcome babies and kids in our clinic. However, please keep in mind:

  • We do not have communal toys or books, so please bring entertainment if needed.
  • Your child should remain in a car seat or stroller if possible.
  • Your little one must stay in the treatment room with you.
  • Keep in mind that if you need to attend to your child during the appointment, it may impact your time with the provider.

How often should I come in for care?

Your practitioner will advise you on how often you should attend care based on your specific treatment plan.

Are service or guide pets welcome?

We welcome guide dogs and service dogs only. Please note the following guidelines:

  • Service animals must be on a leash at all times.
  • Your service animal must remain in the treatment room with you.
  • Please ensure your service animal is calm and quiet to respect other patients.
  • If you need to take your service animal for a bathroom break, it may impact your appointment time.

When should I begin care after surgery?

Please speak with your doctor or surgeon for advice on when to begin care. If you're unsure, schedule a phone consultation with one of our providers.

Are masks required in the clinic?

Masks are not required at this time, but if you prefer to wear one during your visit, please feel free to do so. Masks are also available upon request.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required for any of our services (Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Registered Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Clinical Counselling, or Kinesiology).
